Owen, labeled The Party Guy, was a camper and the winner from Total Drama Island on the Screaming Gophers team. He also is a cast member on Total Drama Action, and was on the Killer Grips before the teams merged.

Owen is a morbidly obese contestant who, no matter how bad things may seem is very optimistic. When he first arrives on the island, he is extremely excited to be there despite not being in the place that the application claimed he would be at. He joined the show because he thought it sounded cool, and he enjoys outhouses. He is always up for the challenges, but often ends up failing in humorous ways. As a running gag in the series, Owen is frequently naked, and/or passing wind. He is very optimistic, in contrast to Noah's pessimism and Eva's temper and non-smiling attitude, and does whatever it takes to help his team (even if they don't want it).

Owen won a challenge in Not So Happy Campers - Part 2 for his team after he conquered his fear of the cliff and jumped off. He was scared and many people thought he was going to die. However, he lost his bathing suit and was shown to be naked once he got out. One episode later, in The Big Sleep, Owen carried Noah back in the running challenge and needed while while trying to run. Afterward, he was very excited to see a buffet of food and ate a lot of it. Owen was also seen to be naked, where he claimed "Baked Beans Made him sleepwalk". He sleepwalked for over two days, doing many things such as jumping through the water like a flyng fish up a waterfall, farting in a cave full of Sasquatchanakwa, and sleeping in a beaver's dam. Owen was the first person to fall asleep in both teams and in his team.

In Dodgebrawl, he was shown to be an excellent dodgeball player, getting four Killer Bass out very quickly in the second round due to the fact that Izzy was hurt during that round (Katie and Sadie didn't like this). But once Duncan came in, he got out a lot but however, in a final round against Harold, he almost got him out but after he threw a ball a second time, Harold caught the hard-thrown ball. Once Noah got very angry at his team for not winning and since he did nothing, Owen and the other guys looked at him very unhappy. Since Owen's effort, he got the first marshmallow and nobody voted for him.

In Not Quite Famous, he tries out his talent of burping the ABCs in one go after drinking a liter of coffee. Owen's parents were very happy that he burped the ABCs after drinking a liter of coffee (read below for more). All the remaining guys are impressed by this talent, but the females (Heather) are not impressed by the talent. His talent was rejected. When Bridgette started to barf when she was trying to do her talent in the talent show, Owen got barfed on along with a few others. Later in the episode, the Gophers lost and Owen got tricked by Heather into voting off Justin because she bribed him with cake.

Outside of Owen's love for food, Owen thinks of himself as a great outdoors man. He often told his friends of hunting stories with his grandfather in his youth, though they turned out to be exaggerated tall tales. He takes the outdoor wildlife challenges very seriously, often talks about the thrill of the hunt and the importance of being in tune with Mother Nature and the animals of the forest. Despite his efforts, Owen in reality is a rather poor hunter, and his uncontrollable flatulence almost always foils his attempts to be stealthy. In Paintball Deer Hunter, it is shown that he is also not a very good shot with a paintball gun, running out of ammunition by the time he finally corners his prey, never once hitting his intended target. While his spirit and determination is admirable (he still resolves to succeed in the challenge after being thrown off a cliff), hunting and surviving in the wild is definitely not an area where Owen is strong in. On the positive side, he proves to be an excellent fisherman in The Sucky Outdoors and has a keen sense of smell. He attempts to bond with the wildlife of Muskoka several times, but often ends up on the receiving end of an animal attack. Owen is in fact is the unluckiest camper when it comes to close encounters with the wild animals. He has been attacked by bears, a chipmunk, beavers, a raccoon, a rattlesnake, bees, and various other forms of wildlife. But, unlike Cody, who was so severely mauled by a bear that he was rendered useless as a teammate and voted off the island as a result, Owen always manages to recover quickly from his injuries.

Besides his cheery disposition, Owen is mainly known for his obscene appetite. Over the course of the series, Owen has eaten many things people would otherwise consider disgusting, from garbage (in Basic Straining) to toilet bowl seats (which he thought looked like a pancake) from I Triple Dog Dare You. Instead of focusing on the competition near the end of the series in I Triple Dog Dare You, Owen instead harps on endlessly about his love for pancakes. In that same episode, he has (on a dare) eaten dog food and Harold's chewed gum. He is the only person who has little to no complaints about Chef Hatchet's abysmal cooking, often asking for seconds and eating whatever the other campers do not finish. He has even complimented Chef's meals on rare occasions. In Brunch of Disgustingness, Owen claims he would literally eat anything, even his own drawers if he had to. And it was Owen's willingness to eat anything that ultimately won him and his all-guys team the challenge of that episode: a weekend on a luxury yacht. It is shown one episode later that Owen can get rather emotional when food is wasted, such as when LeShawna rejects his generous offer for chocolate-covered cherry blossoms by throwing the entire box of them into the lake. Owen cries and moans for the loss.

While Owen's love for food has earned him some critical wins over the series, it also caused him and/or his team to lose at times as well. In Are We There Yeti?, Owen's attraction to the scent of Chef's sticky buns cost him and Duncan the challenge, and ultimately caused Duncan to get eliminated from the competition because of his nearly-insatiable hunger (Owen was saved only because he respects Chef's cooking and did not constantly irritate him in the past like Duncan had). He gave in to temptation in If You Can't Take The Heat... by eating almost the entirety of his team's main course, the ribs. But because it was revealed that Beth had inadvertently cursed her team with a Tiki doll she brought from Boney Island in the same episode, Owen was again saved from elimination. Overall, though, for Owen himself, his appetite proved to help more than hinder him, as it was the scent of freshly-baked brownies that rejuvenated his exhausted body in The Very Last Episode, Really!, allowing him to pass Gwen and reach the finish line. With his keen sense of smell and bottomless pit for a stomach, Owen won Total Drama Island and $100,000.

At the beginning of the series, he shows signs of being bisexual, such as being happy he wasn't bunking with girls, stating that he wanted to kiss Justin, and kissing both Duncan and DJ when they formed the guys' alliance. However, later in the series he shows an attraction to Izzy and made out with her during Hook, Line, and Screamer. It is possible that what he says in regards to his male companions is merely platonic but continues to word his feelings the wrong way as a running gag, but even well after Justin is voted off the island and Owen had started a relationship with Izzy, Owen often gushes over Justin's "chiseled" features in a way that insinuates that he may be physically attracted to Justin. He was also the only man to be swayed by Justin's charms in Total Drama, Drama, Drama, Drama Island similar to the way the women were, though thanks to his friends, he was quickly snapped out of it. Despite his attraction to Justin, it is well overshadowed by Owen's feelings for Izzy, whom he had proclaimed his love for in the same episode early on. It is worth noting that while Owen and Izzy's relationship was caught in a snag due to the events of Hook, Line, and Screamer, Izzy has apparently forgiven Owen because she played the largest part in getting Owen to win Total Drama Island, as it was her who came up with the idea of rejuvenating Owen with the scent of freshly-baked brownies. They celebrated by hugging and kissing each other, reaffirming the fact that they had made up. In the special, however, their relationship was not touched upon very much outside of Owen's proclamation of love; Owen and Izzy ended up in different search teams for the million-dollar case. But it is worth noting that Owen said in the Confessional stall, "How can you not love a woman who belches like a man and comes back for more?". Izzy's male-like qualities being glorified by Owen could be seen as strong evidence that he is indeed bisexual. Both Owen and Izzy qualified to compete in Total Drama Action, so there may be more events yet to come in Owen's love life, especially since Justin is also coming back as a competitor, and Izzy regards him as an enemy.

Owen is obscenely overweight and weighs about 296 pounds. Owen generally gets along with everyone, and is one of the very few campers who actually tries to befriend Heather despite her attitude. but quickly becomes intimidated by her. However, he does grow to despise Heather when she relentlessly insults Izzy (to the point where is willing to forfeit the entire contest simply so that Heather would lose and he could be free from her, seeing as they were handcuffed in the challenge). The incident angered Owen to the point where he actually cursed at Heather, something that only Lindsay had the courage to do beforehand. In the first few episodes, Noah and Owen appear to get along (Owen seems to get Noah's obscure, geeky jokes). Owen also carries Noah on his shoulder, lays him on a table and checks if he is breathing when Noah passes out in The Big Sleep due to running). However, in Dodgebrawl, Owen came to dislike Noah like everyone else when he criticized his teammates for their loss without even trying to help out.

In the end, he wins Total Drama Island and the $100,000. However, he forfeits the money when he is offered to compete with the rest of the campers to win $1,000,000. In the end, the case that contained the money was eaten by a shark and there were no winners. However, since Owen was at the Dock of Shame when the case was lost, he qualified to try to win the money again in the second season along with the fifteen other campers.

In Total Drama Action, Owen is still popular among other contestants. In Monster Cash, Geoff in particular gushes about how awesome Owen is. Throughout the season, Owen's eating habits start to get the better of him, usually leading him to being forced to take various kinds of medicine and/or restrict his eating habits. In the first two episodes, he eats a large number of food props, leading to him having major clogging problems. He chooses to eat only prunes in order to fix it (shocking everyone that he gives up pancakes). Later his jaw is injured by Chef's book, leading to him being forced to take various medicines (though most were taken by LeShawna). His wired jaw also restricts his eating, causing him to get extremely worked up when when food is around him. Owen constantly tries to get back together with Izzy. At first he said that he wasn't sure if he loved Izzy, but he really liked her a lot. He tries at various times during the series to get her attention, though always fails to something (like a giant mechanical monster) that Izzy is interested in. Later after she abandons her E-Scope identity, the two do successfully get back together.

Owen arrives on the set with the other contestants when a giant monster (controlled by Chef Hatchet) is sent to capture the contestants as they try to find the trailers they would be living in. Owen was the last one to be caught (after hiding under a cardboard standee of a car) by the monster, but his obesity caused the monster's arm to malfunction and he was able to get away. He then found the bouncy castle that contained the captured contestants (held near the trailers), took out a needle and popped it, freeing them all (except for Izzy, who was on a date with the monster). This challenge wasn't for elimination, however. In the same episode there was a reward challenge. Chris showed the contestants a buffet full of food, before Chris could say what the challenge was, Owen ate all the food, commenting that the turkey was a little dry. Chris told Owen that the food items were props made of Styrofoam and wax, and that the challenge wasn't to eat the most food, but to find a key hidden in the fake food. Owen then belches and the key comes out. That left the other castmates commenting on how insane the stunt he just pulled was (LeShawna commented "That boy's got guts. Guts full of foamcore and rubber, but guts; just the same.") The winner got to decide which trailer the contestants got to bunk in, the one crushed by the monster or the other one. Owen chose the one crushed by the monster because it had more "character". When the trailer is fixed, he shares a bunk bed with Trent.

Owen later suffers from all the sawdust and foam core in his stomach in Alien Resur-eggtion, as it is causing him to have uncontrollable gas build ups. Owen is so uncomfortable and miserable that he even refuses to eat anything but prunes for breakfast (much to the uttermost dismay of everyone else), as he becomes desperate to rid himself of the inedible junk that is clogging up his system. During the Alien Egg challenge, his gas bubble finally bursts and Owen allows Chef to eliminate him from the challenge so he can run to the bathroom. By the end of the episode, he is very relieved to have everything flushed out of his system.

In 3:10 to Crazytown, Owen actually starts to mess with a few of the challenges (by accident) and cause some uproars from the contestants. During the horse landing challenge, Owen missed the horse (and fell three feet deep into the ground) and the horse ran off. Owen did manage to catch and get on the horse though and Chris awarded him the point, which caused the Gaffers to argue since Owen didn't officially land on the horse. Owen also wrecked the tie breaking quick draw challenge when he drank all the water from the squirt guns, to which Chris was forced to create a new tie breaking challenge. As a result, he was almost voted off in that episode.

In The Chefshank Redemption, Owen seems to have become a member of Justin's Alliance during the prison break challenge. However, it is unclear if he is an actual member, as he is already easily manipulated by Justin. He aids Justin in blackmailing Gwen to throw the challenge for the Grips as payback for Trent's cheating, but does not seem as serious about it as Justin and Beth. His team finally wins the challenge thanks to Gwen, and he reunites with Izzy after she unexpectedly returns to the show. He seems to have resumed his relationship with her.

In The Sand Witch Project, Owen and Izzy make out again during the horror film challenge. He was also upset about DJ leaving the show, mostly about the food DJ cooked for the rest of the contestants. As DJ leaves, Owen would once again have to go through Chef Hatchet's food where at the end, Owen pukes at Chris's shoes.

In Masters of Disasters, Chef throws a large book at Owen in the first part of the disaster leading his team to victory. Unfortunately, the book broke his jaw and Owen had to be escorted to the hospital to get his jaw rewired, resulting in him missing out on the second part of the challenge. The rest of the cast is deeply worried about his condition for the rest of the episode. By the end of the episode, Owen returns in a wheelchair with his jaw rewired and is cross-eyed (as a result of the painkillers, Chris claims). Chris allows Owen to eat with the Screaming Gaffers only if Owen promises not to file a lawsuit for the damage of his jaw, which Owen agrees to. He is rewarded with a blender, soda, and some chips to indulge in.

In Full Metal Drama, Owen becomes constipated because of the blended food he's been eating. He never receives the liquid bran Chef makes for him, because he lets LeShawna drink it. He tries to comfort Izzy when she was eliminated, by offering to kiss her, but she is pulled away by Chef Hatchet and was dragged to the Lame-o-sine off-screen.

In Ocean's Eight - Or Nine, Owen was one of the contestants being locked in a vault during the bank heist challenge. Beth uses her perfume scent in order to get him to break out. After he managed to break free from it throughout this episode, he continually thinks that his teammates are food after they kept referencing it. Later at the award ceremony, Owen was voted off. Although he and the other contestants on his team voted for the most recently returned Courtney, he was eliminated because Courtney's lawyer granted her immunity and therefore has to remain that throughout the show. Since Courtney voted for Owen, he was sent home. Before he leaves, he was granted a farewell speech and thanks his fellow teammates and his family, even imagining Chris, Justin, Lindsay, and Beth food products like pizza, a hot dog, soda pop and a drumstick respectively.

Owen was revealed to have asked the Lame-O-sine driver to go to the nearest fast food restaurant in a recap from One Million Bucks, B.C.. Chris says there was going to be a mammoth hunting challenge but they could not because Owen was voted off.

In The Aftermath: III, Owen reveals that as a child he had done many terrible things (Covering nuns in fake vomit, gluing his uncle's wig to a goat's butt, pushing his little brother down the stairs, changing the score on his math test and eating all of the camp for fat kids lunch). Owen also discovered (via his mother on web-cam) that after Owen won, his mother spent fifty thousand dollars on a cheese cellar. Owen didn't mind since the cellar was, in fact, full of cheese. Owen acted as a peacemaker between Geoff and Bridgette for a good amount of the episode. It was revealed that he has gained 10 pounds, so now he weighs in at 306 pounds

Owen makes his return in Rock n' Rule when Chris payed him $50,000 to come back to compete, in order to bring drama to the show. Courtney was outraged because he got sent home fairly. During this episode, Owen mostly ate some food before the challenge began. When Lindsay brought him, Beth and Harold to join her to vote off Duncan, Owen tells them he couldn't because he thought of getting Courtney eliminated, even though she won invincibility, and he didn't want to vote anybody off.  Owen voted for Courtney at the ceremony, but Lindsay was sent home when she accidentally voted herself off, leaving Owen and the others shocked.

In the next episode, Crouching Courtney, Hidden Owen, Chris tells Owen that he will not participate in the challenge, but rather he will try to sabotage either Duncan and Harold or Courtney and Beth. However, Owen can't choose which team to sabotage due to his friendly nature, so instead of sabotaging one team, he helps both. It is shown in this episode that Owen has forgiven Courtney for her voting him off, since he helps her during the challenge, appearently having buried his grudge with her, something she seems to have done as well.

Owen's parents (both of which are obese) sends a video log to him at camp just like the other campers in the Final Five of how much they miss them. His father says that he was very proud when Owen burped the entire alphabet in the talent show try-outs, and his mother says that she sent him a care package full of gravy. His mother resembles Sadie, In The Aftermath lll his mother apparears on TV and talks to Owen.

Owen appeared in Camp TV along with a majority of the cast. Despite his role as the winner of the current Total Drama Island, Owen seemed to be no more than a supporting character in the original series. He was briefly seen in the promo with some other campers in the shower stalls, but only his feet were shown while the rest of him was covered in steam. Most of the basic elements of Owen's design are present in his Camp TV form, but there are some differences. While he is still large and obese, Owen's shirt had torn sleeves with the words "Keg me" in place of the Canadian maple leaf. Owen's hair is slightly longer as well, curving upward on each side.

• He also returns to Total Drama, the Musical, which causes him to be one of the few male campers to join all the three seasons (the others being Duncan, DJ and Harold).

• Owen is sometimes described as a big lovable oaf or goofball.

• Owen has a habit of saying "great" and then following it with the name of a famous book or story. These include: Gatsby, Alexander the Great and David and Goliath. He also sometimes ends it with a food, like Canadian Cheese. The Great had proclaimed his love for in the same episode early on. • Owen is seen with Trent numerous times (possibly a reference to them having the same voice actor). They are also the last two male Screaming Gophers, and are both on the Killer Grips. Also both have been poisoned by the poisonous Fugu Blowfish.

• Owen is the only male camper to make it to the final three in Total Drama Island.
• The Owen-Izzy Relationship is the only couple to return. (Not together though)

• In Total Drama Island, he was the last camper to jump off the cliff into the lake during the first challenge in the second episode. He also jumped it several other times: in The Big Sleep, Are We There Yeti? and Paintball Deer Hunter; more than any other character.

• Owen is one of several characters to show a form of nudity (his front and rear, on many occasions).

• He has been shown nude (fully or partially) more often than any other character in the series.

• Owen's friendship with the other campers has helped him throughout the game. In fact, the only known people to vote him off so far are Courtney (in Ocean's Eight - or Nine), and Heather, Lindsay, and Izzy (in Hide and Be Sneaky).

• There are many similarities between Owen and the first winner of the reality series, Survivor, Richard Hatch. Both being overweight, excessively nude, and both winning the first season of their respective series. Owen's frequent homosexual remarks may be a reference to Richard Hatch's sexual orientation.

• Owen is the only character to have dialog in every episode of Total Drama Island.

• Owen and Gwen are the only two campers not shown to have an audition tape. This is because audition tapes were shown after the character was voted off. Since neither were kicked off of the island, neither had their audition tapes shown.

• Owen seems to have the most friends out of all the characters, even Chris seems to like him.

• Izzy's second elimination was in Full Metal Drama; Owen was eliminated during the next elimination ceremony in Ocean's Eight - Or Nine.

• Owen has saved the lives of two people: Noah (when he passes out in The Big Sleep) and Chris (when he chokes in If You Can't Take The Heat...).

• Owen and Izzy both play Canasta.

• Owen's archetype, The Party Guy (as well as his general personality), is very analogous to Geoff, whose archetype is The Funniest Guy Around.

• Owen and Gwen, the two finalists of Total Drama Island, are spelled with the same letters except for the first ones. Chris mentioned this in the TDI Rundown, saying it may or may not be a coincidence.

• In Total Drama Drama Drama Drama Island, Chris mentioned that he was an underachiever.

• Owen somehow gets facial hair in Camp Castaways (a beard) and Monster Cash (a mustache).

• Owen (other than Lindsay) is the only person who cursed at another character.

• Owen is one of the five people on the island Gwen considers to have sanity.

• Owen is the only person to kiss three people (Izzy, DJ, and Duncan [Duncan and DJ were disgusted by this])

• Owen's the first male to use the confessional cam in Total Drama Action. In Total Drama Island, he was the second male, first, if you don't count Chris.

• Owen's views about Chef's cooking seems to change throughout the series. In Total Drama Island, he rarely complained about Chef's cooking at all. For the first eight episodes of Total Drama Action, he continued to enjoy Chef's cooking, but that was mainly because DJ was assisting Chef in the cooking at that time. After DJ was eliminated, Owen became upset that the quality of the cooking would return to the way it used to be, even though he never complained about it before. However, in Masters of Disasters, he eats Chef's food regardless and goes as far as taking Beth and Justin's helpings.

• Owen is the first character injured badly enough to require an ambulance ride to the hospital. Incidentally, he is not eliminated as a result of this, mainly because the particular challenge was a reward challenge rather than an elimination challenge.

• Owen suffers from an extreme case of dandruff, as shown in The Chefshank Redemption This could be due to his dislike of showering, as shown in X-Treme Torture

• With Owen's elimination, two Total Drama Island and/or Total Drama Action couples have been eliminated, back-to-back.

• Geoff and Izzy can beat Owen in a belching contest.
  • Despite Owen burping more than the other characters, he has never won either belching contests he was in, except in his Cartoon Network Total Drama Action Profile.
  • Owen is so far the only male character with armpit hair, and is one of the only two characters, the other being Eva.

• He won the North American Belching Contest.

• Owen has been shown to have low mental strength and a weak psyche twice.
  • First was in Camp Castaways, when he created Mr. Coconut out of a loneliness of nine minutes and Chris had to eliminate his fruity friend for his own personal safety.
  • The second is in Ocean's Eight - Or Nine, when he goes crazy from hunger, trying to find food after getting his jaw unwired, thinking his friends were types of foods.

• Owen and DJ are the only castmates to be voted off with only one vote against them.
  • In Ocean's Eight - Or Nine, Courtney was the only one who voted him off due to everyone voting her off although she had immunity.
  • Technically, Courtney only had one vote against her when she was voted of in X-Treme Tourture. Harold seemed to be the only one who wanted to vote her off.

• Owen has shown great strength and great athletic ability when motivated by food.
  • In Riot on Set Owen carried a make up trailer and Izzy up a mountain when promised catering.
  • In Ocean's Eight - Or Nine Owen jumped and flipped through the air to go to the kitchen. Later Owen ripped open a vault door because he smelled roast chicken.

• Owen is the last Killer Grip to be voted off before the team merge.
  • Owen was also the last male to be voted off before the team merge.

• Not only is Owen the last of the original Screaming Gophers to be voted off, but also the last of the entire 22 Total Drama contestants to be voted off.

• Owen along with Bridgette and Gwen are the only contestants who are known to be the last people in their half of the cabin\trailer.

• Owen is one of three people (the others being Duncan and Noah) to kiss someone of the same gender (In this case, he has kissed two people of the same gender).

• Owen is seen swimming in both Theme Songs.
  • He is also the first camper seen in both Theme songs.

• Strangely, in the Special, Chris says that Owen is the youngest of three brothers, however in Aftermath III, it was said he was the oldest.

• Owen is the only male who seems to be attracted to Justin, however Justin is unaware of this and therefore considers Owen as just a friend.
• Owen is the third competitor to return to Total Drama Action. The first being Izzy, and the second being Courtney. He returned in Rock n' Rule.
  • Owen so far is the only male to ever return to the competition after being voted off.
• Excluding flashbacks, Owen farted 28 times during Total Drama Island (including flashbacks he farted 47 times)
• With Owen's return, he's now the only male on the Killer Grips. He's also the only contestant that didn't return after an aftermath.

• Owen, along with Beth, Harold, Duncan, and Courtney are coincidentally the first five shown in the theme song for TDA and are the final five in the competition.
• Him and Geoff both know how to skateboard
  • This may not be true as the story of Owen sneaking out to skateboard was used merely as an excuse for him to be excluded from the competition.
