Ezekiel, labeled, The Home-Schooled Guy, was a camper on Total Drama Island on the Killer Bass team. He does not compete in Total Drama Action.

[edit] Biography

[edit] Total Drama Island

Ezekiel quickly, and accidentally makes enemies with the girls.

Ezekiel was a spelling bee champion and got his first butt injury when the finalists kicked him in the backside too many times after he insulted them, as revealed on Total Drama Island Interactive. They also swore at him in foreign languages, and he knows this because he speaks 8 different languages, except for 'teen-speak', as also said on Total Drama Island Interactive. Not much else is known about him, as he was the first camper voted off in Total Drama Island. He was voted off because of his sexist comments about women and because he was caught picking his nose.

Ezekiel made a bad first impression by thinking Chris had literally meant "What's up?"; he then answers "I think I see a bird" in Not So Happy Campers - Part 1. Ezekiel performed decently in the first challenge in Not So Happy Campers - Part 2, although he hit a jutting rock while jumping of the cliff and was not targeted for elimination, until he questioned how his team lost, as the other team had more girls. Katie and Sadie were shocked. Eva and Bridgette were angered, as well as the other girls, despite Geoff attempting to defend him, his comments ultimately got him eliminated and spared Courtney, who was blamed for her lack of competence. Chris said he wasn't surprised to see Ezekiel go, as he was caught picking his nose. In this episode he also seemed to be somewhat good friends with Harold (though Harold seemed to disapprove his sexist attitude).

Ezekiel in Playa des Losers.

He is seen much later at Playa Des Losers in Haut Camp-ture with a gold chain with a Z (based on this, he possibly has given himself a nickname such as "Zeke" or "Big Z," given his attempt to "get with the times," so to speak) hanging from it, and seems to have fit in with the other campers. He is also seen trying to get close to Bridgette twice when they are both at the "loser lounge," only to be rejected by her. This might be a hint that he may have a crush on her, though he probably blew his chances with her early on, seeing as how she was, in fact, the first female camper to get mad about his sexist comments. He seems to have become friends with Trent, as hinted when he is hanging near Trent in a pool chair. When Trent gives Harold food, Ezekiel asks Trent why he was helping a traitor. It is debatable what he meant by "traitor" (most likely he is referring to Harold being the one who tampered with the votes to eliminate one of his own team members). Being home-schooled all his life, he never knew that his comments were sexist, as he mentioned that it was his father who told him to look after the women, thus he never knew better.

Luckily, Ezekiel reformed by Total Drama, Drama, Drama, Drama Island! after teaming up with Lindsay and Beth. He genuinely got along with them, making a point to compliment Lindsay on her "strategizing" at one point. The three of them worked together to find the case. Beth and Lindsay managed to make it to the dock and become eligible to compete on Total Drama Action, but Ezekiel could not join them since Justin's parachute blocked his way to the dock.

[edit] Total Drama Action

Ezekiel is revealed to prefer money over integrity.

Due to not making it to the dock in time, Ezekiel failed to qualify to compete in Total Drama Action. However, he is shown to be a commentator/spectator on the talk show, Total Drama Action Aftermath,in the peanut gallery of rejected losers. Ezekiel made his appearance of season two in The Aftermath: I , The Aftermath: II,and The Aftermath: III, but all he does is clap agreeing to Geoff's statement about the money being more important than having integrity in The Aftermath: II. This would suggest that his morals are still somewhat warped despite renouncing his sexism, or that he may not know what he was clapping for and just wanted to support his friend. Ezekiel also appears in The Aftermath: III, but doesn't do or say anything of importance, as well as the other commentators. He appears yet again in The Aftermath: IV, but once again remains silent.

[edit] Audition tape

Ezekiel in his audition video.

In the background it looks like Ezekiel lives on a farm. In his audition, Ezekiel says that he's going to bag himself a moose. He then blows a flute and sees something move in the bushes. He then shoots at it with a bow and arrow, but after it screams he discovers he shot his mother by accident. He then runs to her, apologizing.

  • Ezekiel's audition along with Izzy's first audition, Beth's and Cody's are the only audition tapes to feature some type of noise from a parent of a contestant. In Ezekiel's case, it is from his mother.

Ezekiel's Camp TV design.

[edit] Camp TV

Ezekiel appeared in Camp TV along with a majority of the cast. His design was almost completely different from his current one. While he is described as poor and home-schooled today, he appeared to be rich and spoiled in the prototype series. His old design actually bears some resemblance to Noah, meaning it is possible that the two characters were originally merged into one at this point in time.

[edit] Trivia

  • Ezekiel did not compete in Total Drama Action.
  • He is the only contestant whose status in the upcoming Total Drama, the Musical is still unconfirmed. He appeared in the trailer, but not in the virtual flipbook, leaving many questions and theories.
    • However, the flipbook has an even amount of Males and Females. This may mean the trailer was a goof at some points, or he may return later.
    • Also, due to the flipbook's recent suspension, such as saying Harold and Courtney were the final two at one point, it could be possible that it will be changed to confirm whether or not Ezekiel is competing.
  • It is worth noting that Ezekiel has many similarities with two other contestants who also do not have much significant screen time: Noah and Tyler. These similarities mainly concern their personalities and non-participation in the series so far:
    • Ezekiel and Tyler:
      •  They were the only two characters who had no lines at all throughout Total Drama Action despite having appeared four times on the show.
        • However, unlike Tyler, he has been featured once. The closest thing Ezekiel had to a line at all in Total Drama Action was in the second Aftermath episode, when Geoff asked if anyone else besides him thought that the million dollars was worth more than integrity. Ezekiel was the only one who responded, by clapping with an expression of enthusiastic agreement on his face.
      • They were the only two campers to never use the Confessional Stall in Total Drama Island.
      • They were the first two male Killer Bass voted off in Total Drama Island.
    • Ezekiel and Noah (Note: It is possible that the many similarities between these two may be attributed to the fact that their characters may have been merged into one during Camp TV:
      • They both seem to be very intelligent, IQ-wise.
      • They are the only two contestants to have Biblical names.
      • They were the first two males voted off the island.
      • They were the only two campers to never receive a marshmallow - They were the first members of their respective teams to be voted off.
      • They also had a very significant lack of participation in Total Drama Action, with Ezekiel having no lines, and Noah having only one brief line in the last episode.
  • He appears to be a stereotypical Canadian, shown by him often saying "Eh" often.
  • He and Owen are the only campers who are portrayed as stereotypical Canadians.
    • Ironically, Ezekiel was the first camper voted off while Owen was the winner.
  • Ezekiel is the only camper not familiar with teen slang, as exhibited in the Not So Happy Campers - Part 1, when Chris asks him "What's up?", and Ezekiel actually looks up and says that he sees a bird.
    • Despite not knowing teen slang, in his audition tape he says he's going to "bag a moose" (However, he might have meant it literally).
Ezekiel can be seen on the milk carton (bottom right).
  • It is likely Ezekiel was raised in Yukon, Northwest Territories, or Nunavut since in his biography, it mentions he was raised in a tiny northern Canadian town (which may explain why he wears heavy clothing.)
  • The only people who have referred to Ezekiel by his actual name so far are Chris and Bridgette. Everyone else refers to him as "Home-school".
  • Ezekiel's Cartoon Network online biography says he can speak 8 different languages.
  • Ezekiel, Geoff, DJ and Chef Hatchet are the only characters who wear hats as part of their regular outfits.
    • Ezekiel is the only hat-wearing camper who never takes off his hat.
  • His name is often misspelled as "Ezekial". Even Cartoon Network's TDI Rundown displays his name as such.
  • He was one of the only two campers (the other being Noah) who never earned a single marshmallow.
  • Overall, Ezekiel's character portrays the quintessential elements of a stereotypical home-schooled kid:
    • Being said to never leave his house.
    • His parents want to protect him from the "dangers" of the world.
    • He is anti-social and has no manners or knowledge of civilization.
    • His parents follow olden time and stereotypical conservative ideals, such as sexism.
  • Ezekiel was said to be one of the only campers that had a potentially offensive stereotypical personality; as he was portrayed as a stereotypical student of an educational choice (home-schooling) and a stereotypical citizen (of Canada).
  • His dare in I Triple Dog Dare You was to eat your own toenail slowly.
  • Ezekiel's hat is similar to the wool cap worn by Mike Nesmith from The Monkees, whom was also the inventor of MTV.
  • It was revealed on Cartoon Network Exclusive that Ezekiel made himself a girlfriend out of a scarecrow.
  • Up until Haut Camp-ture, he has never took his shoes or socks off while swimming.
    • He and Duncan are the only male campers who've never been shown wearing sandals.
  • One of the hat styles on Cartoon Network's Best. Game. Ever. looks like Ezekiel's hat, only colored black.
  • He is one of two characters to have gray eyes, the other being Heather.
  • Surprisingly, he is on the Killer Bass yet in the group picture on both the Teletoon and Cartoon Network group picture he is on the Screaming Gophers. This is most likely a mistake.
  • Ezekiel, along with Katie, Justin, and Tyler never wore a deer costume/hunter outfit.
  • In all of his appearances, Ezekiel never seemed to have eyebrows, although he did for a brief moment in The Aftermath: II.
  • He, along with ChrisHarold, Duncan, and DJ are the only campers to have facial hair.
  • In the first episode, Chris tells him to try not to get kicked off the show too early. Ironically, he became the first person to be voted off the show.
  • In Total Drama, Drama, Drama, Drama Island it appears he made friends with Beth and Lindsay as he went with them to search for the million dollars.
    • Despite being with them he didn't qualify to be on Total Drama Action.
  • Ezekiel, along with Trent, Gwen, Cody, Eva, Noah, Courtney, Bridgette, Beth and Tyler are the only campers not to show a form of nudity.
  • He has also had the least amount competition time because of being voted out first episode and not competing in Total Drama Action.
  • He is the only character to have been shown wearing "bling", in the form of a golden Z.
  • Ezekiel is the only known camper to hurt his or her parents (Shot his mom with an arrow, thinking that she was a moose).
  • He was the very first camper to see the briefcase in the special.
  • Ezekiel and Harold are the only two contestants to pick their nose on-screen.
  • A poster of an adult Ezekiel can be seen in Cartoon Network's game, "Best. Game. Ever." See the article on the Best. Game. Ever. for more information.
  • In the poster where it announces Owen's win, Ezekiel is shown with a design on his hat.
  • In most pictures of Ezekiel he is shown with light gray eyes although in some scenes he is shown with dark gray eyes.
