Cody, labeled The Geek, was a camper on Total Drama Island on the Screaming Gophers team. He did not qualify to compete in Total Drama Action.

Biography

Total Drama Island

Cody arrives on the island.

Cody joined Total Drama Island in an attempt to hang with the "cool" kids, as well as to meet girls along the way. However, due to being viewed as awkward, he often fails when he attempts to impress them. However, Cody doesn't know he is a geek, so he believes he is one of the "cool kids", although he has no traits of one. The main thing he is known for on his time on the show is his enormous one-sided crush to Gwen. This almost developed into an obsession that often get in between Gwen and Trent. However, eventually he realizes that Gwen likes Trent instead, leaving the 2 as friends.Cody is also one of the most unfortunate people on the show, experiencing some kind of incident almost every episode, which led to his elimination

When Cody arrives in Not So Happy Campers - Part 1, Cody is greeted by Chris McLean as the "Codemiester." He is happy to noticed that the ladies have already arrived, but LeShawna isn't very interested and tells him to save it. Cody later gets placed on the Screaming Gophers, and later walks into the girls cabin to tell Gwen she is smart. This causes him to be thrown out of the cabin.

In Not So Happy Campers - Part 2, Cody was extremely scared when he jumped of the cliff, but succeeded. He said that bringing the supplies over to the campground was easy due to their advantage they got. Cody mainly stayed pretty quiet during the episode. In The Big Sleep, Owen farted in Cody's face during the 24-Hour mark when Cody nearly fell asleep. Despite not having any lines or a plan to stay awake, Cody managed to come in eighth or seventh place during the awake-a-thon.

In Dodgebrawl, Cody was shown to be an expert dodgeball player. In the first round, he was the first one to throw a dodgeball, but he missed Tyler. Eventually, after a while, he was the only one left against Katie and DJ. However, he got DJ out by giving a boomerang effect to a dodgeball, and by rubbing the ball on his shirt, he made it have static electricity making it almost impossible for Katie to avoid since it was like a homing missile. Despite this, Cody is out until Round 5, where he is shown getting out by two unknown people. During the second one, he selflessly jumped in front of Gwen and got hit in the groin by a dodgeball.

In Not Quite Famous, Cody is shown throughout the episode to be following as well as bothering Gwen. Besides that, Cody was shown to be very happy about Owen's talent. When Trent arrived at the bleachers at the auditorium, Cody tried to the the same thing Trent was doing, but fell of the bleachers. When Gwen is writing in her diary, Cody comes up and begins to bother her. He sniffs her hair and tells Gwen that she smells pretty. Heather notices the 2 and says they were the "first hook-up of the season." Around then, Cody tries to watch Gwen change into her bathing suit, but Cody ends up getting a door slammed in his face. Him and Owen do a cannonball near Gwen, making her leave the dock angered. During the talent show, at Heather's performance, on she got to the part where Gwen explains who she loves, Cody believes it is him until the diary mentioned that he played the guitar, which Trent did, and Cody did not.

In The Sucky Outdoors, Cody didn't talk to Gwen, meaning he may have temporarily given up on her until Up the Creek. Cody remained quiet most of the episode, but peed in his pants each time the Bear would appear. In Phobia Factor, when DJ got scared of the gummy worm, which he thought was a Snake, Cody tried to calm him down. Cody's fear was to diffuse a timne bomb under pressure. Due to this, he had to diffuse a garbage time bomb in 5 minutes, and it was a real garbage bomb too, as noted by Chris McLean. He failed his challenge, and when he was searching for someone to help him, he caused Bridgette to fail her challenge, because she was scared of his appearance (covered in garbage) He also tells the Killer Bass they cannot win, due to it being 7 to 3.

In Up the Creek, Cody once again tried to make a move on Gwen. He tries to make Gwen his partner, but she only agreed because Beth and Lindsay had already taken Trent as their partner. Cody asks Gwen on a date 3 times, which she declined them all. The 3rd one led to Cody being hit in the groin by a Canoe Paddle. While they were still in the Canoe, Cody realized that Gwen likes Trent instead of him, and Cody promised that he would get the 2 in a canoe together on the way back from the island. Cody then reveals he made a bet with Owen that if he got one of Gwen's bras, then he would do his dishes for the rest of the season, but him revealing this caused him to be whacked in the groin again. Once they got to Boney Island, Lindsay and Trent got stuck in quicksand. To save them, Cody grabbed onto a vine, but crashed into a tree. However, the vine was over the quicksand, so then the two could get out. Lindsay called Cody "her hero", and hugs him. Later in the episode, Cody gets Gwen and Trent in the same canoe. This selfless action made Gwen and Cody close friends, and Cody got one of Gwen's bras in reward, thus winning Owen's bet.

In Paintball Deer Hunter, Cody was the only one who was exited on his team that he was a deer. Every time he was in the confessional, he was shown after he was mauled by the bear, even before the attack. He hid behind one of the bushes until Beth walked by, and Cody then talked to her for a while to see how it was going. Once Heather and Beth began to argue, Cody secretly stole the chips and ran. As he called Barbecue the "King of Chip Flavors," he left crumbs on his way, as there was a hole in the bag. Once he found berries, a Bear found him and mauled him. This left him with a full body cast, a black eye, several scratches, and being in a wheelchair. Cody got eliminated because his injury would make him useless in challenges. At the Dock of Shame, Beth kisses Cody and shows him her Tiki Idol. Cody tried to tell her that it is bad luck, but he couldn't and later sunk into the lake. (Strangely, the Boat of Losers wasn't even present at the time)

However, Cody was shown to be alive in Haut Camp-ture and fully healed from the Bear's attack. He spent most of his time at Playa Des Losers trying to get a tan, but he fails and gets a sunburn instead. He wanted Gwen to win, saying that as long as Gwen was happy, he was happy. He was also shown to be healed from the sunburn three episodes later. In The Very Last Episode, Really!, Gwen considers Cody one of the 5 sane people on the island, and Cody sides with Gwen even after Owen announces the party.

In the special, he teams up with Owen, Tyler and DJ to get the one million dollar case. He acts as the brains of this small group, coming up with ways to keep them all in line and not betray one another. He and his team are the first to find the case, but they quickly lose it. Cody's skills in the special are notable, as he was the only one who could trick Justin into a moment of weakness to allow the group to steal the case from him. He was also the unfortunate victim of Courtney, who put him in a headlock while demanding the case from the others. Since he was the one who had to suffer the consequences, he tries to propose a compromise, but nobody agrees to it. Cody and his team wind up on the diving board and fall off when it breaks. Though DJ and Owen fell on a nearby plane wing and were able to make it to the dock and get on Total Drama Action, Cody and Tyler fell into the tub below and therefore were unable to make it to the dock in time, making them ineligible to compete for the money again in the next season.

Total Drama Action

Cody is amongst the other unqualified characters in the talk show, Total Drama Action Aftermath. He appears in The Aftermath: I along with the other "losers", watching Bridgette and Geoff interview Izzy and Trent. Cody is notably one of the few characters who remains siding with Gwen regarding the break-up situation between her and Trent. It is revealed that Cody is still in possession of one of Gwen's bras that was given to him in Up The Creek. Cody also appears in The Aftermath: II and The Aftermath: III, but doesn't do or say anything of importance. He does, at the beginning of The Aftermath: IV, seem shocked that it was a tie.

For his audition, Cody created a beat on a music/sound FX board while singing a song. His father told him to quit because he was making too much noise. This portion of the video is very similar to Beth's audition tape. Cody then apologizes to his dad and states that he will be more famous than somebody, but he does not specify who due to the camera being shut before he could say the name.

Camp TV

While not explicitly proven, Cody seems to appear in the promo of Camp TV, though has no lines. He appears with Beth and Harold as the third person of a "nerdy" trio. Cody's original design matches an unused draft of Duncan's character, which was later recycled into the intern named Phil for the final phase of the show.

  • Cody did not compete in Total Drama Action.
  • He appears to have a problem with wetting himself whenever be becomes frightened (he does so twice in The Sucky Outdoors).
  • Cody claims to be a fast healer in Paintball Deer Hunter after being mauled by a bear. This may be proven in Haut Camp-ture, which is only said to be a few weeks after the incident, when he shows no sign of injury from said attack. Also, after getting sunburned in that episode, he was fine three episodes later when shown in I Triple Dog Dare You!
  • Cody appears to be the shortest male on the show.
  • Like Harold, Duncan, and Tyler, he has been hit in the groin several times:
    • In Dodgebrawl, he was hit in the groin when trying to protect Gwen.
    • In Up the Creek, Gwen hit him in the groin with her paddle twice.
    • In Up the Creek, Cody swung on a vine and crashed into a tree in an attempt to save Trent and Lindsay, who had gotten themselves stuck in quicksand. Fortunately, the Vine ended up over the puddle, and Trent was able to pull himself and Lindsay out.
  • Along with Harold, Izzy, and Lindsay, Cody is one of the few campers who wet their pants. Like Harold, he did so unwillingly, and is the only one who is seen doing so twice. Like Harold, he was ashamed that it had happened.
  • Cody is the only character voiced by Peter Oldring to speak during the TDA Aftermath (though he has only had one line thus far).
  • Along with Trent, Harold, Heather and Tyler, Cody is one of the most unfortunate and disaster-prone characters:
  • Overall, something bad has happened to him in all the Total Drama Island episodes he appeared in except one.
  • He is one of the people Gwen considers to have sanity.
    • He is also the only one to be considered sane by her not to be in the Top 10, and not to participate in Total Drama Action.
  • He is one of two characters to have a gap in their teeth, the other being Chef Hatchet.
  • He is one of three characters to need a wheelchair (Trent needed one in Who Can You Trust?, Owen needed one in Masters of Disasters)
  • He seems to be right-handed.
  • He and Izzy are the only ones seen leaving without the Boat of Losers. Izzy in her first and second time.
  • In Paintball Deer Hunter, Cody considers barbecue potato chips to be the "king of chip flavors."
  • Cody is the only camper (Other than DJ and Duncan) to be kissed by someone of the same gender.
  • Cody seems to have a poster that is or is similar to the 1976 poster of Farrah Fawcett.
  • He is the last male Gopher to be eliminated before the teams dissolved.

  • Cody seems to have a good knowledge of physics since he carefully calculated how to throw a ball in such a way that it would hit DJ in the butt.
  • Out of all the characters, Cody's head is the most round.
  • In I Triple Dog Dare You!, the wheel lands on Cody more than anyone else:
    • When Chris shows the campers how to do the challenge, the wheel lands on Cody.
    • When Gwen spun the wheel on her turn, it landed on Cody again.
    • When Owen spun the wheel on his turn, it landed on Cody for a third time.
